It has the functionality of the original Swiss Railways Clock – Its iconic red second hand temporarily stops for 2 seconds when it reaches 12, so that the minute hand can gracefully jump to the next minute. In 1944 the Swiss engineer Hans Hilfiker invented the Swiss railways clock. The characteristic red second hand soon became its most recognizable feature.
