Mocha Mousse - Colour of the Year
Mocha Mousse is a rich brown hue somewhere between chocolate and coffee, that expresses a sense of simplicity, comfort and effortless elegance. The limited-edition Mocha watch combines the warm and inviting tones of Mocha with the timeless design of the Swiss Railways Clock. The dial features an intricately textured wave pattern creating visual depth and an organic feel. The contrasting white hands and markers, ensure excellent readability. The renowned red seconds hand, a hallmark of the original Swiss Railways Clock design, adds the perfect finishing touch of colour and precision. This new colour variation sets an earthly, warm tone to the Swiss Railways Clock design, adding a contemporary feel to the iconic minimalist design.
Premium Sustainable Materials
The essence Mocha features a lightweight case made of castor oil compound, an innovative material composition consisting of 40% castor oil sourced from the wonder tree, 30% glass fibre, 2% colour pigments and only 28% fossil oil for stability and longevity. The case is paired with a vegan grape-leather strap in rich mocha brown. MONDAINE has been partnering with VEGEA™– an Italian company specialized in turning waste from winemaking into a vegetal leather alternative. The materials used in the watch reflect MONDAINE’s continuous commitment to sustainability, from the sourcing of the materials to the production and recycling process. All MONDAINE watches are crafted in MONDAINE’s state-of-the-art factory in Switzerland, which operates on 80% of its own solar-generated energy. The remaining 20% is supplied by a local hydroelectric power plant. MONDAINE has been a pioneer in the eco-friendly watch movement, recognized for carbon-neutral operations and the support of reforestation and other environmental initiatives.
Features of the limited edition
The essence Mocha is powered by a Swiss Made Ronda 513 movement ensuring precision with every tick. The convenient quick release strap system makes it easy to customise styles and promotes the longevity of the watch. This special edition in the colour of the Year 2025 is limited to 300 pieces worldwide adding to the exclusivity of the design. The individual number of each piece is engraved on the case back. The essence Mocha also makes a meaningful present to celebrate personal milestones, anniversaries, or special occasions that marked 2025.

MONDAINE has turned the design of the Official Swiss Railways Station Clock into a timeless watch and clock collection that is recognised for its iconic design and Swiss craftsmanship. Since the release of the initial Classic collection in 1986, the watch cases and straps have been reinterpreted into multiple variations continuously increasing the choice of styles in the collection.
